Varun secured his law degree from Amity Law School, Indraprastha University, Delhi, and undertook his postgraduate degree at Columbia Law School, Columbia University, New York, United States of America, with a specific focus on International Commercial Arbitration.  Varun has previously worked at M/s. Cyril Amarchand and Mangaldas and M/s. L&L Partners [Formerly known as Luthra & Luthra] where he worked on diverse high-stake matters. Varun has successfully represented clients in various high-value arbitration disputes.

Varun is thoroughly equipped and experienced in handling corporate insolvency assignments. He has not only advised Corporate Debtors and Insolvency Professionals at various stages of the insolvency resolution process, but has also initiated insolvency proceedings against corporate debtors and corporate guarantors. He regularly assists and advises clients on restructuring and resolution proposals both within the statutory insolvency regime and outside it.

Varun heads the Criminal practice at the firm and regularly represents clients on issues relating to the Indian Penal Code, Prevention of Money Laundering Act, Companies Act, SEBI Act, etc.
